Luxor Tour Itinerary:
We will pick you up from your hotel in Luxor to visit some of the most iconic monuments in Egypt:
Karnak Temple:
No site in Egypt is more impressive than Karnak . This vast temple complex is the largest ever built by mankind, representing the collective achievement of many generations of ancient builders and pharaohs. The Temple of Karnak consists of three main temples, several smaller enclosed temples, and outer structures, all spread across 247 acres of land.
Lunch will be served at a local restaurant in Luxor . Afterward, you'll cross the Nile by motorboat to continue your journey.
Valley of the Kings:
The Valley of the Kings is the final resting place of Egypt's rulers from the 18th to 20th dynasties. Here, you'll find the tombs of great pharaohs, including Ramses II and the boy king Tutankhamun . These tombs were richly stocked with all the material goods needed for the afterlife, and the artwork and decorations inside are still remarkably well-preserved.
Hatshepsut Temple:
One of the most beautiful and best-preserved temples of Ancient Egypt, the Hatshepsut Temple is a true architectural marvel. The temple, built on three levels, features two wide ramps that connect the various sections. It stands as a testament to the grandeur of Egypt’s architecture.
Colossi of Memnon:
These two giant stone statues of King Amenhotep III are the only remnants of a complete mortuary temple. Made from quartzite sandstone blocks, the statues were originally transported 700 km from Cairo to Luxor and stand as imposing monuments to the pharaoh.
At the end of your tour, you will be transferred back to your hotel in Marsa Alam , arriving at approximately 18:30.
