Optional Tour of the grand Egyptian museum

The Grand Egyptian Museum  (GEM) is currently in its trial opening phase, which began in October 2025. Visitors can explore several key sections, including the Great Hall, the Grand Staircase, and 12 main galleries showcasing artifacts from various periods of Egyptian history. However, some sections, such as the  Tutankhamun  galleries, remain closed and will be accessible upon the museum's full official opening, which is expected at a later date​​​​​​.

Tickets for the trial phase are available, with pricing varying for Egyptians and foreign visitors. The museum operates daily, with extended hours on weekends. It's advisable to plan for a half-day visit to fully enjoy the open areas
